Shell Cordovan is the most prized leather in footwear, made from the oval shell membrane beneath a horse's hindquarters. Horween's vegetable tanning process takes six months to complete. The resulting leather develops a mirror-like patina, resists creasing, and can last a lifetime with proper care.
