Cement construction uses industrial adhesive to bond the outsole to the upper, without any stitching. While often associated with cheaper footwear, modern adhesives are incredibly strong. This method produces the lightest, most flexible shoes and is used by some high-end sneaker brands. However, cement shoes cannot be resoled.
