Durability Water Resist. Resolability Flexibility Lightweight

Blake stitch construction sews the outsole directly to the insole through the upper, creating a sleeker, more flexible shoe. Invented by Lyman Reed Blake in 1856, this method produces a thinner profile ideal for dress shoes. While less water-resistant than welted construction, Blake-stitched shoes break in faster and feel lighter on the foot.
